We recognize the importance of a well-rounded education. All students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular or “extra-curricular” activities.
These include but are not limited to:
- Sports (Soccer for Boys,Boxing for both Boys and Girls, Netball,Volley ball, etc)
- Inter house activities
- National and Regional Debates
- United Nations Sports Events
- Student Council
- Uganda Boxing Federation
School events include an inter-house MDD competitions, Sports Day, exhibitions, termly Guidance and Counseling afternoons, Leavers’ Parties for candidate classes.
Sports Activities
Physical education and fitness is a compulsory part of the curriculum. We have a well trained staff in the games and sports department led by Mr.Kalyango Henry.
Clubs and Societies
At Kampala High School, every student must subscribe to at least 2 clubs of his or her choice according to his or her abilities. Clubs carry out different activities which transform the society.
Houses
Houses exist to offer students indoor competitive activities including Sports, Public Speaking, Music Dance and Drama, Art, and Science Quiz. Each House: is led by an elected House Captain and House Patron/ House Mistress, among the Houses we have at Kampala High School are:

Nurturing Responsible Students
The School encourages students to be responsible from a young age.
Student Council members are school leaders and student role models who guide and counsel their peers, helping to develop positive behavior and values. The Council is led by a Head Prefect and their service lasts for a year.
